Mitch Mascari, a standout from Northwest Missouri State and Drake, is slated to play for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Summer League. Mascari will participate in workouts this weekend before the Las Vegas Summer League officially begins on July 10 and runs until July 20. Last season, as a graduate student at Drake, Mascari was instrumental in the Bulldogs’ program-record 31 wins, averaging 9.4 points and leading the team with 87 three-pointers, which helped them secure a Round of 64 victory in the NCAA Tournament. His collegiate career also includes a Division II National Championship with Northwest Missouri State in the 2021-22 season, making him the fourth player from that championship team to move on to the NBA, NBA Summer League, or G League, following Trevor Hudgins, Diego Bernard, and Ryan Hawkins.
