As the federal government shutdown enters its second week, Missouri Senator Josh Hawley is calling for an immediate end to the stalemate. Hawley stated the shutdown is hurting his constituents by freezing vital services at Veterans Affairs, Medicare, and farmer loan programs. The Senator’s call to “get the government reopening” comes after the Senate failed for a tenth time to advance legislation that would end the impasse.
