At its meeting on September 8, the Maryville City Council approved major investments for Mozingo Lake Recreation Park and took steps to support a new housing development. The council authorized two four-year leases for 75 new golf carts and an accompanying GPS system, totaling over $147,000 annually. Additionally, the city passed a resolution supporting the 40-unit Maryville Meadows Phase II housing project by agreeing to waive all development-related fees.
