The Federal Aviation Administration has finalized its new MOSAIC rule, which overhauls the sport pilot license to make recreational flying more accessible. The update allows pilots to get certified in about half the time and cost, with fewer medical requirements, and expands the types of aircraft they can operate. These new regulations, which will go into effect in October, are expected to boost interest in general aviation as a hobby.
