The Skidmore City Council has approved a new water ordinance that creates an annual review process for rates, while tabling a similar ordinance for the sewer system. Proposed increases to both water and sewer rates were not approved and will be considered at the November meeting. Council members also decided to delay applying for a $200,000 loan for the city’s non-compliant sewer plant. They will instead wait to seek different funding sources expected to be available in 2026.
