The St. Joseph City Council unanimously approved a $7 million funding agreement with the St. Joseph YMCA for the construction of a new aquatic facility at the YMCA’s campus. This decision, passed 9-0 as agenda item number 20, was met with strong community support. In addition to the construction funds, the city will also contribute an annual operational cost of $270,000 to the YMCA for the facility.
