St. Joseph city departments recently partnered with the Red Cross for the first-ever Community Safety Fair, an event focused on neighborhood cleanup and resident safety. The effort brought together the Fire Department, Police, and Parks Department to connect with the community. During the fair, the Red Cross installed free smoke detectors in homes, while city crews cleared debris and added new park equipment. Officials called the event a success and are already planning another fair for next April.
